I cannot get the barrel installed into the receiver of this gun, there is still a 1/2 inch gap to move in, and the bolt is stuck solid in the receiver.
(I had a similar problem with a 20 gauge TriStar semiauto, but got the barrel installed with some hand force and twisting.)
I may have to send this gun back to TriStar ,but difficult as I cannot
return the gun in the original box with a stuck barrel that cannot be removed. Any suggestions, PLEASE.

Hi Michael and welcome. Without knowing if it is a defect or something else, I would recommend calling a few local FFL dealers as some have an onsite gunsmith or can recommend one locally. Cheers and stay safe!

Before you try to force it down into the receiver, I'd do as James suggested. Some FFL'S do have an in store armorer. They should be able to lyk if it's a defect or just being a bit tough to get in due to tighter tolerances in that batch made?

Michael, the best, but not the most ideal situation, would be to return the gun to TriStar and let them deal with it. This way, they can not say someone else messed it up before it got to them.
