Charles, I don't know if Springfield has worked out all the kinks on later EMP's, but my early 2016 model wnet back to Springfield twice. The 1st time for intermittent and frequent failures to extract. It worked ok after that for 2 months and then started stove piping with many different brands of ammo. After I got it back the 2nd time I traded it for a Kimber. (That is my short and sweet experience).

I rented a 4" EMP last fall, and wasn't overly impressed with the trigger or accuracy for the price they want for it. Frankly I'd be happier with a Kimber or Colt, but the biggest thing I didn't like about the EMP was the fact it uses proprietary magazines.
