Fellow NY'r here, Ed C. Is correct. This has a detachable magazine & Pistol grip so for the Empire state, it's a huge no.

Douglas, there is no NY complaint model. A semi-automatic rifle that can accept a detachable magazine can not have a pistol grip.
Perhaps you saw that before the law changed.
