Prohibited - A semiautomatic shotgun that has one or more of the following: 1. a pistol grip or thumbhole stock; 2. any feature capable of functioning as a protruding grip that can be held by the non-trigger hand; 3. a folding or thumbhole stock; 4. a grenade launcher; 5. a fixed magazine with the capacity of more than 5 rounds; or 6. the capacity to accept a detachable magazine . 1 & 6 disqualify this gun, sorry. . as you are from Illinois and as you said the laws keep changing I STRONGLY recommend that you check with your local FFL as he will be the one to put his license on the line doing the transfer He will be up to date on the laws
