It's a good choice but I'd buy this one for $419 https://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/price_match_open/1/products_id/69632/Trijicon+RM04+RMR+1x+Obj+Eye+Relief+7+MOA+Black

The recoil from a shotgun is pretty hard on optics. We use the lightweight holographic sights made for pistols usually like the C-more RTS2 and it's in your price range.
I may be alone here, but I'd go with what you have picked here. Its advertised for tactical shotguns, so its gotta hold up. And for $80, why not give it a go. I would.

It will work great and hold up just fine
It should be durable enough for your Vepr 12. Anything can happen to any product at anytime. If you buy this, register it immediately for Bushnell's Limited 1 yr warranty. Then test it until you are satisfied it will live and function on said Vepr 12.
