Rick, the integral locking system (ILS) uses a key to lock the the pistol when stored or left unattended. The keyhole is located on the rear of the grip. Stay safe & have a great day!
Hi Rick and welcome. Yes Sir. The Integral Locking System (I.L.S.) replaces the mainspring housing of the handgun and when engaged prevents the hammer from moving by locking the mainspring cap, making the gun inoperable. It does not require any modification to the handgun. Picture of the system here (top of the hand grip and uses an allen type key to activate) : https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1762182330 ----------- Cheers and stay safe!
