Jonathon, the barrel has a Matte Blued Finish, this is the only finish the 590S Shockwave comes in.

only the Matte Blued Finish a mat Blued finish could be black as Blued is a type of finish not a color most blued guns have a dark "black" finish. blue is an electrochemical conversion coating process in which steel is partially protected against rust, and is named after the blue-black appearance of the resulting protective finish

Hi Jonathan and welcome. The finish is "Black". Blued is an old terminology formally used to describe the process "blueing" of adding the finish. Today it could have either a blue hue or black hue. Cheers and stay safe!
