Hi Emily, Some simple low weight (2.5-5lbs) weight exercises like bicep curls and triceps extensions will eventually give your arms and shoulders the strength you are looking for. Push ups and pull ups would work also but I would recommend free weights as you can vary the work outs and whatever muscles that you're looking to strengthen.
