Hi David, The heritage look great. They give off the cowboy saloon days vibe. I think they look great. This is one fun gun to shoot. Well made. Super price as well. Great for new shooters and those looking to experience the single action type firearm. Very accurate with both 22LR and 22 Magnum.
The finish is actually decent given the price point. My current Heritage is spot on for accuracy. It is good to go in my experiences. I would wait for the newly released "Steel" framed Heritage pistols though here : http://www.heritagemfg.com/product_detail.cfm?prod_id=53
the finish is good (great for the price) and they shoot good
Here's review someone did---Overall I like the pistol. The weight and feel are very good. It has a very good trigger as well. Looks to be a very solid built pistol. It locks up tight and cycles just fine in time. 50 rounds of 22lr through it with no issues. The negatives though are the finish could have been better. It is already showing wear at the end of the barrel and backside of the grips on the metal right out of the box. Also, the front blade sight was bent over pretty badly. Would have been shooting a foot left if I left it like that, but a little adjusting in my vise and it is back on target. Overall for the price even with the few cosmetic issues, I think it is a good deal. Shipping was fairly quick on this item as well. Was glad to see Buds was shipping them out fast again, as I was getting worried as the last two purchases before this one took forever to get to me.
Excellent for both finish and accuracy. Also excellent for reliability and dependability. Not much to compare it to, its in a class of its own. Well, you'll find similar for 2x-3x the Heritage price.
