Handguards almost always need their own barrel nut though. Also, not all gas blocks will fit under all handguards. The barrel nuts they use will all fit any AR15 223 barrel and any AR15 upper receiver. The barrel nut threading of AR15 upper receivers is standardized to the milspec.
