Hi Keith, as a NJ resident, I can assure you this is NJ legal. The 50oz weight only applies to semi-auto handguns. The person at your local shop is seriously misinformed. Find another local shop to have it shipped to, preferably a FFL who works out of his house, the transfer fee will be much less expensive. Stay safe & have a great day!
