David, from what I'm reading, the recoil is pretty stout, as would be expected from 10mm. The D10 uses a stiff recoil spring to manage the 10mm, so it takes some effort to rack the slide. Stay safe & have a great day!

Hi David and welcome. Recoil is slightly less than the polymer 10mm's due to the increased weight of this pistol. Recoil is pretty subjective but, 100 is not as punishing as some make it out to be. Cheers and stay safe!
