while I read it as being illegal in Illinois, Illinois gun laws are so convoluted and hard to understand I suggest you check with your local FFL as he puts his license on the line when he transfers a gun "Prohibits the manufacture, possession, delivery, sale and purchase of so called "assault weapons", 50 caliber rifles and 50 caliber catridges and "large capacity" magazines.
