Hi Honzik and welcome. The receiver is Type III, Hardcoat anodized, is done under more exacting process conditions resulting in a harder, denser, thicker, and more abrasion resistant coating. The 4140 Chrome Moly Vanadium Barrel is Melonite/Nitride finished. Cheers and stay safe! Melonite is a specific version of Nitride but for the most part Melonite and Nitride are the same.
