Hi John and welcome. The FFL fee is charged by the FFL Dealer for the completion of the paperwork/background check (4473 Form). This fee can vary by FFL Dealer from $25 to $50. Just call your local FFL Dealer for their fee cost. Cheers and stay safe!
Hi John, the FFL sets the fee. It has nothing to do with the value of the gun. Some FFL's charge $25, some charge $100, and most are somewhere in between. I have found that FFL's who work out of their homes are usually less then those who have brick & mortar stores. Stay safe & have a great day!
The FFL will have set fees no matter how much value the gun has. The fee is basically a transfer fee to register the firearm in your name and to do a background check before you take possession of the firearm
it is fee set by the receiving FFL most have a set fee between $15 and $50 however I know a ffl that wants 10% of the guns value which is crazy some of the dealers in buds listing list their fees
