Hi Glenn and welcome. Unfortunately, no due to the threaded 1 / 2"-28 tpi barrel. Details under Rifles here : https://www.budsgunshop.com/feeds/state_reg/new_york_restrictions.pdf -------- Cheers and stay safe!
sorry because the barrel is threaded it is not legal to own in NY state. The following rifles are prohibited: ✘ Semi-automatic rifles that can accept a detachable magazine and have one or more of the following seven features: 1. a folding or telescoping stock; 2. a pistol grip that protrudes conspicuously beneath the action of the weapon; 3. a thumbhole stock; 4. a second handgrip or a protruding grip that can be held by the non-trigger hand; 5. a bayonet mount; 6. a flash suppressor, muzzle break, muzzle compensator, or threaded barrel designed to accommodate a flash suppressor, muzzle break, or muzzle compensator; or 7. a grenade launche
I was just telling the guys at my FFL about this Henry. All would be good except this model has a Threaded barrel which is a no for our state of NY. We can thank the S.A.F.E. act & the new and improved C.C.I.A. that Hochul So spitefully laid out.
Hi Glenn, due to the threaded barrel, it is not NY compliant. With the popularity of this rifle , you would think Henry would put out a non-threaded model for folks in restricted states. Stay safe & have a great day!
