I've seen & read a few reviews that said the mag baseplates had fallen off. However, a more recent review said this issue has been fixed. What's the story, because I REALLY liked this gun when I rented it to try it out.

from what i can find that issue has been corrected and you can be confident that if you have a issue Springfield will stand behind their products and make it right

Hi David and welcome. The issue has been corrected but there likely are thousands of affected magazines floating around. just disassemble, inspect and test your magazines and contact Springfield for replacements if you find any issues. Cheers and stay safe!
