I have looked around and could find no info. Looks rubberized. Not the flat plastic you see on many AR adjustable stocks.

Hi Raymond and welcome. It is a true Mil-Spec Buttstock and has a Checkered Black Polymer butt plate with trap door (same as here). https://andersonmanufacturing.com/a2-buttstock-plate.html ------- Cheers and stay safe.
