Hi Stephen, yes sir, this will fit the bill for deer & pheasant. It comes with 3 choke tubes, Full, Modified, Improved Cylinder, so you can use the appropriate choke for the shot you are using. If you use slugs for deer hunting, you will want to use the IC choke. Stay safe & have a great day!

yes it will be great for both deer and Pheasants. just change choke and shells Buckshot or rifled slugs (foster type) for deer and IC choke will work best with slugs mod or IC with buckshot. then go to #6 shot with mod or Full choke for Pheasants also screw in the IC choke get some #8 shot and head to a skeet/sporting clays range
