I could guess that it is however I dont know if it is beretta just calls it a black synthetic coating I would ask beretta at 1.800.Beretta (237-3882).

Hi Michael and welcome. This model uses a Black Nitride Finish (similar to some bolt carrier groups). Nitride coating is much harder than some alternatives, so the black finish will stand up to heavy use significantly longer. Cheers and stay safe!
