I would be willing to bet that if you contact Buds directly they would honor the recent price of $1003 via LiveChat (available from 9AM to 9PM 7 days a week), the blue "Chat now" button at the bottom right of the page, or phoning at (859) 368-0371 (available 9AM to 9PM EST Monday through Friday).

Buds uses an automatic inventory price update engine that runs every 20mins. Prices are tied directly to stock levels and will change as stock numbers change. As inventory numbers go down, prices go up and vice-versa. Usually when popular items get low in stock, the prices rise. stock levels, demand and the cost they (Buds)  paid all factor into the price a less than 10% swing is not uncommon
