Angel, for a scope I'd recommend a lpvo/low power variable optic. I personally prefer them over red dots or red dots/magnifiers. Here's a link to a 1-4 magnification bushnell ar lpvo optic specifically designed for AR-15s chambered in 223, The reticle is designed for 223.
