Hi there. I'm considering the purchase of a Glock 10 Gen 5 (Crushed Silver). I'm 57 years of age and this would be my first hand gun purchase. Before engaging with Buds and "pulling the trigger" so to speak, I would like to first make sure that I am able to purchase a handgun in the state of TX (past criminal record events/etc.). Hi Joel and welcome. You should go to a local FFL (you can input your Zip Code and proximity preference here: https://www.budsgunshop.com/ffl.php) to find one. Have them run a preliminary background check and they can tell you if you are good or need to take some action. Your local Sheriff also can do the same if you apply for a handgun purchase permit which usually runs about $75 dollars for fingerprints and background check. Or if you just order it from Buds, the chosen FFL dealer will do the check anyway and let you know. If it does not work out, the pistol will be returned to Buds and you will be issued a 100% refund.
