Is the barrel Nitride treated, are any other parts nitrided? Armalite site says they are Nitride, but?? Nitride treatment is a 2 week long treatment that changes the first 20-40 microns +/- into non-ferrous, almost as hard as a diamond, and extremely smooth, that is why I ask.

Hi David and welcome. This model has a 16" Chrome lined chrome-moly vanadium barrel, Threaded 1/2x28 with flash suppressor and a 1:7" Twist rate.  The bolt carrier grout is nitrided. Cheers and stay safe! ***Note*** "Nitride" barrels are essentially the same as Chrome-Moly, but have undergone a plating process that creates a very tough surface strength.
