has anyone got one of these. Is the nickel really nickel or is it just high silver? I would love to have one that is truly nickel.

Hi Rick and welcome. The finish is more a thin nickel finish over the barrel, cylinder, frame and trigger. Steel Barrel and Cylinder with Nickel Finish, Alloy Frame with Nickel Finish & Nickel Trigger. Cheers and stay safe!
