Jeremy, from what I read really only difference is the custom comes with a Geissele trigger vs milspec on the standard, a Radian charging handle and a muzzle break instead of flash hider, it also has the cerakote finish. Daniel defense makes quite a few models so hard to say if it's better but the Geissele trigger alone on the custom is a huge improvement in my book. So I'd personally go with the custom or the pro model. Hope this helps.
