How easily could one replace the stock with something more light weight and adjustable (aka 'tacticool')? Some guys that i shoot with at my local range want to start some competition shooting amongst ourselves and lever gun is one of the things we're probably going to include. I'm short with short arms and stocks of this length are tough for me when shooting fast. It's got everything I want otherwise....

removing and reinstalling it is easy, your issue will be finding something that fits the gun typically lever action stock are short but i can not find any listing for lop I suggest you check with Citadel to see what the lop is  https://citadelfirearmstore.com/contacts/

you may also look at the Marlin dark series the 44 mag should be out early this year their LOP is 13.5 inches 70901

Craig, your best option is contacting the manufacturer to see if there's any other makes/models that will fit. The stocks synthetic so should be relatively light.
