yes it has a manual safety and the only mags I could find were 8 round mags you can get a 1 round mag extension here https://gallowayprecision.com/walther/ccp/plus-1-mag-extension-for-walther-ccp-pistols IMO 1 round is not worth the added expense I would rather carry a extra mag and get 8 rounds more extra mag here https://www.budsgunshop.com/product_info.php/products_id/92742/walther+ccp+magazine+9mm+8-rd
