Hi Charles, no sir, the ZPAP is chambered for 7.62x39 only. That is the only caliber it will shoot. A rifle chambered for 5.56NATO can also fire .223. Stay safe & have a great day!

Morning Charles, .223/5.56 are a different round than 7.62x39. This AK-47 will ONLY shoot 7.62x39. If you purchase a rifle chambered for 5.56 then that rifle will Also be able to shoot .223 ammo. But not the other was around. A rifled chambered fir .223 cannot Handle the higher pressure 5.56 round.
