The length of the chamber determines what shells you can chamber and fire from a given barrel. With a 3 inch chamber you can use 3 inch shells or the shorter 2-1/2" or 2-3/4" shells but not the longer 3.5" shells.
Hi Raul and welcome. This is the maximum length of the 12ga shell that the firearm will accept. A 3-inch chamber will accept 3 inch and shorter 2 3/4-inch shells no issue. Same concept as a .357 Magnum being able to fire the shorter .38 Special. A particular length chamber can fire that length or shorter shells. Cheers and stay safe!
Hi Raul, this gun has a 3" chamber, which means you can shoot up to 3" shells. Stay safe & have a great day!
