Hi Cody and welcome back. Not recommended but, 9mm with the Underwood extreme penetrators and hardcast would be your best chance : https://www.budsgunshop.com/product_info.php/products_id/713087955/underwood+ammo+9mm+115gr. ---------------------------- https://www.budsgunshop.com/product_info.php/products_id/713087985/underwood+ammo+9mm+p+147gr.
The one that has perfect accuracy. Seriously I would carry this Buffalo bore round https://buffalobore.com/index.php?l=product_detail&p=389
Hi Cody, I would not trust my life with 9mm against a bear attack.
Yes a 9mm will stop an angry bear, but just not fast enough to keep him from getting to you first. It's possible a few blast to the face would change his mind and run him off, but if I wanted to protect myself from angry bears I would certainly carry something bigger than a 9mm. The popular round these days for Bear would be the 10mm cartridge or just Get yourself a 12 gauge loaded with slugs and get that head shot as they are charging.
