Probably not in the near future Robert. They would need to modify their magwell's and action design which would increase their cost point considerably. Even though they sell like hotcakes now, they would in my opinion, sell like hotcakes with buttermilk syrup with a side of bacon! I'm thinking they will keep the single stack for this market niche and introduce a new double stack line.

This willrequire a change in the width of the magazine well as modifying the action to accommodate the offset of bullets in the magazine. In essence, it would be a redesign and actually be a new model. If the Hi-Point can use standard 1911 type magazines, your best bet is to purchase one that has more capacity. The maybe a down side (and this goes to your personal preference), the magazine will extend out more than the H-P factory magazine.
