Was looking at the Springfield XDM 3.8 compact 9 mm and noticed it said they no longer come with the XDM gear. Does this mean the gun comes with no case, extended clip, etc..??

They just cut out the mag pouch, paddle holster and lockable case. It still comes with the a case, gun lock and two magazines.

They may have limited some items from the package as noted in the other post, but Springfield is running a "gear up" promotion until June 30th where you can get the holster, mag pouch and 4 extra mags with the purchase of a new SA pistol.

I just bought my XDM 3.8 9-mm last August and I bought the last one that came with the essentials package. If they sell you one without the essentials package you will basically get a generic case and 2 mags along with the standard slide lock and paperwork.
