Hi John, pull back the charging handle so the action stays open, and the magazine cap should screw right off. You may need to put a pair of channel locks on it, with a rag wrapped around the cap to protect it. Stay safe & have a great day!

unscrews counterclockwise see owners manual page 12 removing forearm https://www.budsgunshop.com/prod_mans/27805-0000005353-002.pdf If you need to remove the magazine spring after removing the forearm you will see 2 slots in the magazine tube push in plastic tabs, be carefull the spring can get away and shoot out I just verified all of this by disassembling mine
