Hi Paul, not unless your state stipulates certain criteria. Some states now require a mandatory gun safety course in order to get a FOID (Firearm Owner's Identification) card to buy a gun. In some states you just need a FOID card. If your state does not require this, then you don't need anything but $$$. Stay safe & have a great day!
