Hi Gary, it may just need to be broken in. You may need high velocity shells, although 3" slugs are usually high velocity.

Hi Gary and welcome. Please try placing just a tiny bit of lube on the shell rim (on the slug end) and see if the same shells cycle. If they do, you will need about a 50rd break in from there. Cheers, stay safe and let us know the results.
