Can you explain to me the difference between these two optics? The HS407K 1x6 MOA and the HE507K 1x2/32 MOA and what are the effective ranges of the two? I would guess that the 1x2/32 MOA would be a rifle sight. is this correct?

The 407k features a single 6 MOA red dot, perfect for close-quarters shooting and concealed carry. Meanwhile, the 507k brings the heat with its multi-reticle system. You can choose between a precise 2 MOA dot, a wide 32 MOA ring without a dot, or a versatile 32 MOA ring with a 2 MOA dot.
