Note, since it is metal, the maker recommends : NOTE: It is required to swap out your plastic OEM mag catch with either the Shield standard steel magazine catch or the premium steel magazine catch. If you don't swap your mag catch you may have reliability issues. If you use another manufacturer's mag catch you may have reliability issues. S15 magazines were designed to work with Shield Arms steel mag catches.

The 43x utilizes the Gen 5 Marksman barrel. Other than that it's not categorized by Gen. This Shield magazine is a game changer for this model at the moment. But, as James mentioned, it is a steel cased magazine and you WILL NEED to change out the polymer plastic mag catch to the Shield Steel catch. If you don't, the Shield mag will eat up the stock plastic catch.
