I've noticed just today that most diamondbacks are not available for layaway anymore, and that's my go too, is this just an error or is it seriously no dbs on layaway anymore?

Hi William and welcome. This has been the case lately. You will find that popular, fast selling firearms are getting layaway removed, at least for a while. Maybe a business decision to move more firearms rather than storing them. Less popular firearms don't seem to be affected for layaways. Cheers and stay safe!
