There seems to be a controversy on whether or not you can have six rounds loaded and not being safe. Could you tell me if this gun is safe holding 6 rounds and how if so what is the safety mechanism (transfer bar or floating pin). Should you not know where can I get information.

Hi Fred and welcome. Hi Fred, this specific model has the original COLT 4 Click operation. No Transfer Bar or Floating Firing Pin. 5 round carry recommended so the hammer/firing pin is not resting on the primer of a live round. Cheers, stay safe and enjoy!
