The discrimination mentions Capacity as 4+1. I have always heard that shotguns shouldn't be stored with a round in the chamber since they are not drop safe. Is this gun drop safe?

No, you shouldn't store a shotgun with a shell chambered. Best way to have it ready is in "Cruiser" mode. That's when it's totally unloaded & safety checked. You rack it & leave it ready for the next shot as if it were fully loaded. Then. You load the tube with the 4 shells and put the safety on. Now, in case you need to get down to business, you just flip safety off & rack. They'll be no need to fumble with the slide action release.
