Hi and welcome. Both. Same concept as a .357 Magnum being able to fire the shorter .38 Special. A particular length chamber can fire that length or shorter shells. Cheers and stay safe!

This model is chambered for 3" shells so it will also shoot the slightly smaller 2-3/4" shells.
