Hi Michael and welcome. 3.5 inch Chamber but can shoot 3 inch or 2 3/4 inch shells no issue Sir. Same concept as a .357 Magnum being able to fire the shorter .38 Special. A particular length chamber can fire that length or shorter shells. Cheers and stay safe!

If it's chambered for 3.5" then it can also shoot 3" & 2.75" shells.
