Hi Richard and welcome. Yes, this model has a 3 inch Chamber and will shoot 3 inch or shorter shells. Same concept as a .357 Magnum being able to fire the shorter .38 Special. A particular length chamber can fire that length or shorter shells. Cheers and stay safe!

Yes sir, chambered for 3" shells so it'll shoot 3" magnums no issues at all.
