Hi Simon, A reflex sight is a type of red dot sight and, as such, is a red dot. This means all reflex sights are red dots, but not all red dots are reflex sights. A reflex sight is an optic that allows the user to look through a glass only partially reflecting and see an image of the target and the field of view superimposed. Stay safe & have a great day!

Hi Simon and welcome. A Reflex Sight is normally an unmagnified Optic with a Red Dot, etched dot or reticle with a single plane glass. They can mounted to Pistols, Rifles via optic plate, picatinny mount depending on the application.
