Hi Paul and welcome. This pistol has a moderate rack effort. Most folks hold the frame stationary and use the other hand to rack the slide back putting 100% of the rack effort on that one hand. The key is to push the frame forward at the same time you are pulling the slide back for overall easier racking on any pistol. Cheers and stay safe!
Yeah. Key to racking is the push/pull method but... If you really & truly want a 9mm that's sooo easy to Rack they call it the M&P Shield Ez then take a look at the model below.
