Hi William, Hornady states "Hornady TAP Reduced Recoil™ (blue hull) is a reduced velocity load designed primarily for pump action shotguns." My guess is because of the reduced recoil, it may not generate enough pressure to cycle in all semi-autos. Stay safe & have a great day!

Hi William and welcome. Reduced recoil loads have a lower powder charge and generally does not generate enough pressure to properly cycle some semi-auto shotguns actions. Cheers, stay safe and enjoy!

it may work in your gun however the low recoil shells normally do not generate enough pressure to cycle a semi auto
