Does anyone have an opinion with regard to the weight of the MR762 vs the Sig Spear 308?  Also, can the gas system of the MR762 be adjusted like the Spear if one wants to use a can?

Hi Tyson and welcome. Weight would not be a big issue between the HK's 9.84lbs and the Spears 9.2lbs to most folks. over 1/2 a lb might be a deal breaker to a select few. Considering a full loading of 21rds of 165gr .308/7.62 ammunition weighs approximately 1.1 lbs, 1/2 a pound weight savings looks even better on the Spear. The short stroke gas piston is not adjustable. Cheers and stay safe!
