Why is this pistol valued at almost $800 more than the 92xi model. The main difference I see is the sights. Is this truly a better made pistol than the 92xi model?

Hi William, the MSRP's are $1799 and $969.  THE 92X PERFORMANCE FAMILY was designed in collaboration with the highest-level competitive shooters in the world to have out-of-the-box optimized performance and consistency.
It has the Steel Vertec Frame,  red dot optic-ready slide, included optic plates, and improved trigger performance. It is single action double action.

Hi William and welcome. This is more a matter of number of each in stock. Buds prices are tied to stock level and similar / same items that are higher in stock will be less $ than the same / similar items that are lower in stock. cheers, stay safe and enjoy!
