Yes. You should start out at the nearest range allowed for your human sized torso target. As your skills increase your distance should increase. After you become proficient with the distance, rinse and repeat with a smaller sized target.

It is the perfect size firearm for target shooting. I like smaller targets without all the bright colors. You will become a much more accurate shooter. I help out at ranges alot and you'd be surprised by how much better people shoot with a plain black and white target.
